Adoption Update

It has been almost 2 weeks since I got a copy of my original birth certificate.  My official name was "Baby Boy Johns".

I have been completely obsessed with finding my birth mother.  I guess it is a feeling that is natural, but it has been overwhelming.  I have spent hours in front of a computer looking at the same pictures, following the same leads.  They all lead me to 2 conclusions...

1.) The woman I thought could be my mother, that we contacted, actually is my birth mother but isn't ready to deal with it

or

2.) The woman on my birth certificate doesn't exist.

Let's deal with option 2.  I have searched and searched for a woman named Norene Johns who would have been born in  California in 1948 or 1949.  There is absolutey no record of her.  There are only 2 Norene Johns that I can find.  1 is in Idaho, the other is option number 1.

I feel like I have hit a brick wall.  I feel sad and depressed.  I really hoped that I could get some information and plug it into ancestry.com and find her or something close to her.  There was no way it could be that easy.

This past weekend, I just needed to get away from it, the search has been tearing me up, so I got a big bike from Kegel Harley Davidson and rode all weekend long.  It was tremendous therapy. Once I get home today I will keep looking and keep updating.

If you have been through this process, or know anyone who has, let me know.

If you are the Norene Johns that gave birth to a Baby Boy in St Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL on May 11th, please reach out to me.  I would love to tell you thanks.
