Expanding my taco horizons...

I'm a simple man and I like a simple taco. After being dominated by Taco Bell and Taco John's for months, the Taco Tracker 2.8 has finally expanded its horizons. Recently I have added many different varieties/places of tacos. I've now had Hardees, Jack in the Box, Choco tacos, Taco Taxi, and a bacon taco.
The fine folks at Taco Taxi in Minneapolis, MN were so moved by my taco story that they decided to give me a free Taco Taxi hat. That hat is my new pride and joy.
Mulligan's Bar created a special Bacon Taco specifically for Taco Tracker 2.8. If there's two things that every man loves, it's bacon and tacos. Putting them together is just a dream come true. Pure deliciousness. I look forward to expanding my taco horizons even more, but not with anything that's nasty. Sour cream is for suckers.

Everything's going up, nothing's coming down

It seems like the odds are against the Taco Tracker 2.8.
First, Taco Bell decided to get rid of the 89¢ Cheesy Double Decker taco and now Taco John’s has decided that they want to get into the act. I drove past Taco John’s on Tuesday morning, and the sign read, “Taco Tuesday Crispy Tacos 69¢”
69¢! What’s the deal? It seems like everyone is trying to capitalize off the success of Taco Tracker 2.8. In a way I feel that it’s my fault. Does anyone really think that the price would’ve gone up if it wasn’t for the success and celebrations that followed the eating of the 100th taco? All I know is that a couple weeks ago when the 100th taco was swallowed, tacos on Taco Tuesday were 59¢, now all the sudden they’re 69¢! I have no inside knowledge of it, but I ...

Taco Tom eats 100th taco

My thoughts on eating the 100th taco:
To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do these every day of our lives: Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. Number three is, you should eat a taco. But think about it, if you laugh, you think, and you eat a taco, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special. Tacos can take away all my physical abilities. But they cannot touch my mind, cannot touch my heart and they cannot touch my soul. And those three things are going to carry on forever. I know Taco Tracking can be hard, I’ve experienced it, but the Taco Tracker 2.8’s motto is “Don’t give up, don’t ...

I've got 99 tacos, but a burrito ain't one

I recently took a 12 day hiatus from taco eating, and thus taco tracking. There’s really no good reason why I went twelve days, including two Taco Tuesdays without eating a taco. It’s embarrassing. I love tacos. I’ve let down myself, let down the Taco Tracker, and let down my country. My pace has dropped dramatically to just a smidge over 433 tacos for the year. That’s like a hitter with a batting average of .433 going into the All-Star break. It’s unacceptable!
I don’t know if it was a mental lapse as I struggled to come to grips with the fact that I’m approaching that elusive and historic 100th taco. Perhaps in my subconscious I am secretly scared of the 100th taco. I don’t know what the deal is, but I can tell you that I am 100% committed to tracking tacos.
With that being ...
