I've got 99 tacos, but a burrito ain't one

I recently took a 12 day hiatus from taco eating, and thus taco tracking.  There’s really no good reason why I went twelve days, including two Taco Tuesdays without eating a taco.  It’s embarrassing.  I love tacos.  I’ve let down myself, let down the Taco Tracker, and let down my country.  My pace has dropped dramatically to just a smidge over 433 tacos for the year.  That’s like a hitter with a batting average of .433 going into the All-Star break.  It’s unacceptable!

I don’t know if it was a mental lapse as I struggled to come to grips with the fact that I’m approaching that elusive and historic 100th taco.  Perhaps in my subconscious I am secretly scared of the 100th taco.   I don’t know what the deal is, but I can tell you that I am 100% committed to tracking tacos.

With that being said, we have to talk about the elephant in the room:  The 100th taco.  I sit at 96 right now.  I typically go with either 3 or 4 tacos in a meal.  Therefore, if it’s 4, I’m going to hit the 100th taco.  This is a huge deal for the Rockford area.  I don’t want to sound self-centered, but we need to face facts here:  not since President Richard Nixon visited Rockford on October 29, 1970 have we seen something so historic.

I’ll turn it over to the public, what are ideas for the 100th taco?

Cue the pomp.  Cue the circumstance.
