So this morning we opened the door to our General RV and this is what we saw. Throttlefest is tomorrow and the work has just started at the Full Throttle Saloon. The stage is going up. Tour buses have arrived. If you see the dug up spots that is where they are trenching the ground to run electirc for the show. ONe of the coolest things about this place is, they can and will make anything happen. During the rally the FTS is always being finsihed up.
You may say "they have had since last year to get rady for this year", but in reality many of the people who work for the FTS take their vacation to come out here and work. They are not here year round

For years I have worked with TT and been "astounded" by some of the things the guy will wear in public. Today traveling with him, the "odd" fashion sense is even more pronounced.

Finally, Full Throttle Saloon! Our goal was to get into Sturgis and get our General RV parked and set. We are smack dab in the middle of backstage for Throttlefest.
As I sit here and look out the window back towards the town of Sturgis, there is a steady stream of vehicles heading down the road, I am sure they are on the way to one of the campgrounds,
We ran into Jesse Dupree, who is leaving at 4am to do a show and will be back here some 18 hours later. I don't know how the guy does it.
It is kind of weird but the place has a homecoming kind of feel. We ran into our Security buddy Tyrone, we met him last year. Scott, who runs the concerts. You see a lot of the same faces at the Throttle.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. ...

So after months of prodding, TT has agreed to go back to the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis. Last year, after 24 hours, he said we wouldn't be back for the 71st Mortorcycle rally. Check out this video as we pull into the Broken Spoke Campground.
The morning of Friday August 5th we head out for the Full Throttle Saloon once again. It is truly a lot of work to try and bring back the sights and sounds of the Throttle and Sturgis, but we get to have some fun as well.
We look forward to youchecking back here and seeing what we have been up at as the 71st is right around the corner.
