Vixen Productions, an accomplished full-service audio and visual production company, is launching a contest open to local talent from the Chicago, Madison and Rockford area. The contest features a grand prize of a full length concept music video of the winner's original song. The video will be comparable to those seen on MTV with a valued production of $3,500. This also includes up to two days of production and Vixen Productions will travel to their location for filming. Two second prize winners will receive a Vixen Productions t-shirt and $100 discount toward production of a live music video. The goal of launching a contest such as this is to help lend exposure to new talent that might not otherwise have the means to produce visual accompaniment to their original recording. Beginning July 6 and ending July 26, musicians from the Chicago, Madison and Rockford area may submit their applications for the contest. Applications are email based and must include: one high quality .mp3 of an original song that may be considered for production with visual enhancement, the artist's name, member names (if group,) phone number, and a minimum of 100 words in essay format on the meaning behind the submitted song and why they deserve this opportunity. Full rules and regulations will be posted to the Vixen Productions Facebook page which also serves as a way for interested parties to interact as well as hear their competition. Each submission will be posted to the Facebook page as they are received. This is also where updates and information will be available to the public. The winner will be announced on July 30.
